The Adult Literacy League is hosting a Spring into Literacy Mini Market! Just in time for Mother's Day, they are hosting a small makers' market at their office (2221 Lee Road Suite 15 Winter Park, FL 32789) on Friday, May 1 from 6-9 p.m. All vendors are donating at least 10% of their sales from the day to the Adult Literacy League to support the mission.

Waste Knot Orlando will be participating as a designer.

Trash 2 Trends is an evening of recycled fashion benefitting Keep Orlando Beautiful.

Local artists turn Trash into Trends at this fashion show featuring materials otherwise destined for the landfill. Enjoy the Orlando Science Center exhibits and dinner from 4Rivers Smokehouse during cocktail hour, then head into Dino Digs for the main event! Which design will walk away with the top prize? This event supports Keep Orlando Beautiful Inc, an environmental education and community beautification non-profit.

The workshop is designed to support the city’s Sustainability Action Plan by reducing the daily consumption of goods in homes, encouraging recycling, providing an opportunity to save money through trade, as well as learning about valuable skills and resources from volunteers within the community.

Items that may be considered for fixing include eyeglasses, bicycles, electronics, small appliances, woodworking, clothing and other textiles. There will be a limit of two items per person. Services are subject to change.
